Obviously it depends on the size of the property however, on average it will take around 45 – 60 minutes for a 3 bedroom house.

Naturally, less time will be spent on smaller properties depending on the complexity of the building and a little more on larger properties.

An EPC assessment must be undertaken and carried out by a qualified, experienced, and accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).

You should receive your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) within 48 hours 

You will be sent a link to the .gov.uk website; where all EPCs are lodged or registered. You can download or print it from the website once its uploaded.

EPCs are graded A – G. if you are renting out, the law requires the EPC to show a minimum rating of E for all new tenancies and – as from 2020 – all existing tenancies.
